Unsure where to start? You're in the right place.

If you have been told you need a fire risk assessment and are not sure where to start, here’s everything you need to know.

6 steps to help you get started

A fire risk assessment is like an MOT for your building. But instead of focusing getting a pass or fail, see it as an overall risk rating based on the likelihood of fire, and the potential consequence. The list of actions provided is there to help you continuously improve upon to better protect your buildings and people from the risk of fire.

1 Identify the need for a fire risk assessment

A fire risk assessment is a legal requirement. The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires a suitable and sufficient fire risk assessment to be completed by a competent person.

We’re known for our responsiveness, with market leading turnaround times. Simply fill out your details on our contact form and we’ll send you a quote.

3 Get your building assessed

Once you’ve approved the quote. One of our nationwide assessors will come to your building and complete a fire risk assessment for you. This may take a few hours depending on the building size.

4 What we assess

We meet the person responsible for fire safety and review your documentation, procedures and testing records. Our assessor will then assess the building to identify fire hazards and fire precautions.

5 Review your fire risk report

We send your fire risk report via Block7. Here you can view and download the reports, mark risks as actioned, upload documentation, assign tasks to team members, create progress reports, view KPIs and more.

“I made an enquiry using their clean and simple online process, and was contacted within a matter of minutes. One of their specialists was out within 2 days, booked in, punctual, and representing Pyro exceptionally well. The assessor was calm (important when talking about fire safety), professional, and efficient.
