Steel City Schools Partnership Trust (SCSP) is based in Sheffield and has grown to a 10-academy portfolio, having recently inherited new schools into the portfolio. This expansion called for a fire safety review, to ensure all of their buildings are compliant and continue to keep pupils, staff and visitors safe. SCSP required a partner to compile their fire safety information into one, consistent, easy-to-understand portfolio, with a clear action plan for improvements and remedial works.
The combination of our expertise, customer service, scale and market-leading risk management software, meant we were the perfect partner to support SCSP. We work closely with their on-site teams to carry out fire risk assessments for all properties, identifying risks for the schools to work through over the next 12 months. We consolidate their fire safety information into our risk management portal – making it easy for them to access, understand and action.
SCSP now benefit from a consolidated fire safety action plan, including:
“We started working with Steel City Schools Partnership in 2017, performing annual fire risk assessments and periodic surveys for passive fire protection. We have also designed and produced fire evacuation plans for all schools which are constantly kept up to date. We have a close relationship with the Trust, they are super easy to work with and look to continue this by constantly upping our game in order to support their growth.”
