Following a successful external audit, Pyro Fire Services are proud to announce we are now a BAFE SP205 Certified Organisation. This means our company and assessors are third-party verified as competent fire risk assessors with the BAFE life safety fire risk assessment competency scheme.
This is massive for our company.
Our clients, and companies using Pyro as a sub-contractor service, can have further peace of mind knowing we have been independently verified to meet the requirements of the BAFE SP205 scheme. Every fire risk assessment from now on will be provided with a property-specific certificate of conformity to demonstrate the appropriate steps have been taken to provide a suitable and sufficient fire risk assessment as required under The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.

Richard’s specialist area is compartmentation (walls and soffit) and fire door surveys, specifically, intrusive inspections in all areas within the buildings, including all risers and produce a fire stopping and compartmentation survey report of identified observations. This background knowledge has been key in helping him to become a highly proficient fire risk assessor and validator, recently achieving the highest level of recognised competence, on the IFSM’s National Accredited Fire Risk Assessors Register at Tier 3 level.

Our certifications include The Institute of Fire Safety Managers (IFSM), The Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE), and The Fire Industry Association (FIA). We’re third-party accredited by BAFE for Fire Risk Assessments, and our assessors are registered on the IFSM Fire Risk Assessors Register.
